Case Study: The After Club

The After Club

The solution to the problem of young people engaging in risky sexual activities. That is what The After Club is. It is a multi pronged framework whose aim is to lower the barrier of access prophylactics in social settings.

The solution also serves a broader purpose of encouraging healthy behaviours and creating an opportunity for young people to have open discussions surrounding sex, breaking taboos and imparting knowledge

At its core, The After Club is a solution to encourage behaviour change.

Jamaican water

Quench’d is a water brand that encourages hydration during parties where alcohol consumption is prevalent. But what’s the twist? The carton has a secret compartment at the bottom where condoms are stored.

This was created with the intention of party patrons being able to discretely purchase condoms in situations where the heat of the moment may pose a barrier to practicing safer sex options

This solution pushes young people to the opportunity and action stage of behaviour change

Sip’d is the other prong of The After Club solution. Sip’d is a

pre- packaged alcohol pouch. The concept behind it is to encourage responsible drinking at parties by serving pre-mixed drinks to avoid over drinking.

These cocktails are partnered with an armband system that will allow the bartender to keep track of the number of drinks an individual orders.

This solution is effective as it encourages responsible drinking in a setting where inebriation is often when young people make poor sexual choices.

Wrap’d is the final extension of The After Club franchise. This card game focuses on providing an exciting way for young people to dispel any myths about sex they held, increase or refresh their sex education and most importantly to encourage open conversations about sexual topics such as consent, STD’s, pregnancy and protection.

This solution pushes young people to the knowledge and capability phase of behaviour change
